#2 The SCOTUS wasn't ignored. The cases was could the Biden Admnistration use authority granted by Congress as part of HEROS Act to reduce Student Debt. The SCOTUS said no. The Biden Administration stopped using the HEROS Act. The SCOTUS DID NOT say other means couldn't be used that were within powers granted by Congress. For example restructuring payment plans or PSLF (Public Service Loan Forgiveness) and ensuring that those that qualified actually got relief.

Not in the most recent Missouri case that killed the SAVE program. The judge could have just ruled that the forgiveness part was illegal based on the SCOTUS ruling. Instead he ruled that the entire thing was illegal even though that was not what he was being asked to do by the plaintiffs and it royally messed up the entire income based repayment system including programs actually enacted by Congress. At this point it appears as if the Trump administration is ignoring that ruling as it applies to the other programs just to get them back up and running again.

And as far as nobody voting for them that's only partly true.
They are appointed by elected officials.

The convict was only elected by a very slim majority of voters so technically the "will" of almost half "the people" is not what he is doing.
