No. That is precisely how a military is not supposed to work.

They must follow legal orders as much as they must not follow illegal orders.

There is no reason to question their command's orders 99.99%-100% of the time...

Military men are disciplined, trained to follow legal orders day in and day out....to the point of monotony,

they will know if something is amiss, and likely go their entire life and never see an illegal order.....but if they do get an illegal order, do not obey it....that is what the military code of justice teaches them.

What kind of unusual order, do you imagine the President would give, to make a serviceman or soldier question its legality?
