Spying on politicians using FISA warrants, helping the Canadian police deal with demonstrators, shooting women and babies over a trumped-up crime. Spying on domestic "persons of interest" like MLK, the Beatles and thousands of members of the anti-war movement in the sixties.

Sure, when you make up conspiracies it does sound like those aren't federal crimes.

First when did I say anything about Trump? Second since when is it a crime for American citizens to send humanitarian aid to another country. The Canadian protestors weren’t violation any AMERICAN laws, so money being sent to them is no business of the FBI. Third Ruby Ridge, an FBI sniper shot Weaver’s UNARMED wife and infant who were simply standing in an open door. Neither of the was accused of making the sawed off shotgun Weaver was accused of making.

The FBI was corrupt from the day it was created. J. Edgar Hoover was a paranoid megalomaniac who spied on everyone and had secret files on politicians and public figures. The FBI was built in his image.

No, if the FBI has proven anything since the days of Bill Clinton, it's that it has become a politicized agency that is rotten at its very core. It can't be salvaged. All its agents and supervisors need to be fired and a new agency built from the ground up with an aggressive agency ethos to stay out of politics and only deal with Federal crimes.

I disagree with replacing the whole bureau, but upper management needs to be told to retire if they have the years or find other employment if they do not.
