Merry Christmas!! 😁
This is awful if it really happened like this, but why am I feeling like there's more to the story that we're not hearing? As would he really tell his daughter to randomly beat up another girl without any reason?

My son, pre-elementary, was being consistently bullied by the boy next door who was a year older but the two were roughly the same size. So, I brought my son in for some boxing/self defense lessons and instructions to not pick a fight, but When the other boy started messing with him be ready to punch or push back.
So I sent the kid out to do battle and watched from the window. Neighbor boy pushed our son to intimidate him. Son pushes back. Neighbor boy pushes again. Son pushes back hard enough to take neighbor boy to the ground.
Bullying stop. The two became the best of friends and remain friends to this day decades later. PC is stupid all the time, but much more so when applied to little kids.
Politically CorrectI love the story but what does PC mean?

Of course there is. I doubt the district will ever release video of the days before the incident. I can't imagine a dad telling his daughter to attack an older girl, unless there was some sustained bullying.I don't know but like I said in my OP, I have a feeling that there's more to the story here.
If someone hits a child that child should hit them back

Yes, I do.Aren't you a special education teacher? My guess is if you are you know all about stuff like this.
Yes, I do.
Our school takes the line that "there is no self-defense." I have kids saying "my mom/dad told me if someone hits me to defend myself." I tell them the truth: "Your parent is not wrong, but if you break the school rules, you'll have a school consequence."

That school is ******* stupid and should be purged of it's current leadership.
Most public schools should. If my child got suspended for defending him or herself I'd pull him or her out and find a new school and then take him or her to a movie or something.
Elect new school board members then who do not mind the board being sued into bankruptcy. That school is ******* stupid and should be purged of it's current leadership.

It is the height of irresponsibility to have a "no self defense" policy. It makes the pycho kid and his victim equal to be punished.
The pychos are still going to be pychos. THe good kids will know that they have to "take their beatings" and live in fear, or be punished for defending themselves.
It also teaches other children to be meek, submissive serfs too, too stand by while bullying goes on, because the retarded lefty teachers and administrators will just punish everyone equally.
And really, let's be real. There is a really good chance the pycho kid(s) have some angle that leads to them getting SOFTER treatment, either a handicap diagnosis, or being black or some such libtard shit.
A father taking charge when his daughter is bullied is arrested for advising his daughter. Go figure.
Both. They try to avoid it as much as possible. My school board in Florida viewed it as self-defense as long as they did not retaliate, they were fine. Student A hits student B, but student B blocks the assault, that's fine. As soon as they retaliate, they are both guilty. Self-defense is limited.Schools get sued for punishing the kid that attacks another kid, instead of punishing both of them?
