While I went for months without hearing a word from or seeing another Westerner, the innumerable Muslims I met along the way were as kind and generous to me as they were curious about life in America and other places that I'd stayed from Manhattan to Laos, Jamaica and nights alone at Stonehenge.
It was not unusual to be "kidnapped" from time to time as I went from one archeological site to another since the many people who gave me rides had never met a Westerner and insisted on introducing me to their friends and family who also had never seen a large, red bearded Westerner.
My host made sure that I had plenty to eat and drink as well as the most comfortable spot in their humble and crowded homes / tents etc.
During the day, my numerous hosts along the way would proudly show me the local archeological wonders and then head to the village square of favorite meeting place for my "interrogation".
My host(s) and is friends liked the American people and wanted to know all about American movies, cars, big cities etc.
I both appreciated and was impressed with the fact that the Muslims I met did not blame individual Americans for the egregious and criminal support of their government for any and every Israeli crime or atrocity.
Without exception, I was eventually asked a version of two questions:
- "Why do Americans suddenly hate us?"
And:
- "Why does the American government help the Israelis kill Palestinians and steal their land?"
I tried to explain that most Americans are only exposed to a blatantly biased pro Israel MSM(1) and therefore apathetic to the fact that treacherous and parasitic Israeli lobbies run America's Middle East policy. (2)
Over 50 years later, I see that the Gaza genocide is beginning to show educated Americans the degree to which the American government's unconditional complicity in 80 years of Zionist genocide and expansionism only endangers Jews and non Jews alike.
Just as I cannot think of any instance in which a brutally occupied and tormented people have not resisted their occupation and tormentors by striking back in whatever manner possible, we can expect more incidents like this of even greater magnitude in Israel, the US and around the world wherever the Gaza genocide is condoned and supported.
The Gaza uprising of 7 October 2023 was precisely the response that that Netanyahu and his henchmen had not only worked to provoke but known about for over a year in advance.
With IDF killing about 300 Israelis on that tragic day, the remaining few hundred was more than enough for genocidal Zionists to complete their own Final Solution.
