You are "Fat Shaming" a bear!
Can't say when it was taken. When was this picture taken? ... because polar bears are in hibernation right now in Norway ... next sunrise is in February ... she builds up fat to sustain herself during the winter ... she doesn't eat ... and this one looks pregnant, so there's baby to feed as well ...
Same as human women ... they get fat and plump in Fall because there's food shortages in the miserable cold snowy places where European people come from ... the fat broads survive to pass their genes on ... the obesity epidemic is caused by food be abundant year-round, without winter famines ... brought to you by the makers of Ozempic, go ahead and eat all you want, insurance will cover you ...
That is one monstrous animal. Very, very powerful.....Can't say when it was taken.
I did find this:
Male polar bears do not hibernate in the traditional sense. Instead, they remain active throughout the winter months, primarily hunting seals on the Arctic sea ice. Unlike true hibernators, polar bears do not enter a deep dormancy; instead, they have evolved specific adaptations to manage long periods of fasting when food access is limited. While pregnant females may enter a temporary state of dormancy known as maternity denning, male polar bears continue their active hunting lifestyle, relying on fat reserves accumulated during the hunting season to sustain them through extended periods of fasting.

LOL....I doubt if anyone was going to try to check it's "plumbing".
I think it has more to do with soybeans becoming a food staple. 70 years ago soybeans were practically non-existent in the American diet. Now GMO soybeans are the #1 source calories in the American diet. When was this picture taken? ... because polar bears are in hibernation right now in Norway ... next sunrise is in February ... she builds up fat to sustain herself during the winter ... she doesn't eat ... and this one looks pregnant, so there's baby to feed as well ...

That is a very dramatic shift.
And that change in soybean consumption tracks perfectly with the change in the obesity rate. We have become a nation of soy boys.
