The latest information is that if Democrats win in the November Congressional Senate elections they will pack SCOTUS with more judges going from 9 to 11 or more.

FDR's victory in 1936 brought huge new Democratic majority in both houses of Congress, leaving Republicans powerless to stop Roosevelt's power grabs.

The only hope for the Constitution was the Supreme Court. "Legal concepts like substantive due process had exalted private property and freedom of contract while limiting the power of government to regulate or otherwise interfere with entrepreneurship.... Shortly prior to the 1932 election, as if in warning to Roosevelt, the Court had invalidated on substantive due process grounds an Oklahoma law requiring the licensing of ice-making facilities. A wall seemingly had been installed around private business and government told to keep out."

Roosevelt and his aides formulated a plan to add a Justice for every one of a certain age.

In effect, by packing the court, Roosevelt would have altered the three-branches model of the Constitution into a unitary government, a monarchy.


Although Roosevelt lost the battle, i.e., the court packing scheme, he cowed the Court and won the war: now, the federal government could do anything, anywhere, anytime. Roosevelt did through politics what his contemporary dictators, Mussolini, Hitler, and Stalin, did with force.


It's pretty clear with whom the Democrat Party stands.
 
Republicans held their nose and voted for Kavanaugh anyway

Just like they held their noses when they voted for Trump

I believe that Dr Ford purposely testified in a childish voice.....

"The first hint of illness came when she began to testify in that husky little girl voice…”I’m just a defenseless little waif with no sophistication, unable to defend myself from this wicked, wicked world and this evil, evil man.”

The face and the accomplishments just didn’t go with that voice and the attempt to evince a less-than worldliness."

We need an over-and-under guess at how many liars the Democrats will advance against whoever Trump picks this time.
