It's an odd phenomenon.

A cult are people who blindly, without independent thought, explanation, reason, or the ability to actually explain the things they think and say. They are programmed to kneejerk respond with certain phrases, sayings, and slogans that they all repeat immediately that are closed ended.

They lack the ability to discuss with others their beliefs and are never able to look at what others think or say and engage in conversation.

That's what a cult really is. It's a group of people not thinking for themselves. All thinking and saying the same things

And they don't even realize they are being lied to and that they are repeating that lie to others.

It's not about disliking others on a person to person basis, it's about automatically disliking anyone that isn't like you. It's about seeing someone that is a Republican and being programmed to automatically say "trump tard racist facist Nazi". It's about following along with your group no matter what

The thing about being in a cult is those people don't know they are in one. I wish both parties had better candidates but we are stuck with who we have so I will vote for someone that does not want to crash the economy on day one with price controls and did not have to steal the idea of not taxing tips from the other candidate.
