Calling for death to our nation is not covered by the first. Iran has already proven to be a true threat to our national security in more ways than one over the years. The Iranian regime's willingness to commit violent acts is already well established.
Fighting words, as defined by the Court, is speech that "tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace".
What types of speech are not protected by the First Amendment?
Although different scholars view unprotected speech in different ways, there are basically nine categories:
- Obscenity.
- Fighting
- Defamation (including libel and slander)
- Child pornography.
- Perjury.
- Blackmail.
- Incitement to imminent lawless action.
- True threats.
Farrakhan inciting in a terrorist nation should have some severe consequences. If you hate this country that much GTFO and the rest of us can say good riddance.
