Fani Willis DQ-ed

Wow.... Everybody knows this makes perfect sense. The lower court missed an opportunity to demonstrate that it's a neutral magistrate by failing to reach the conclusion. "More than a significant appearance of impropriety"....

Yeah....no shit!

The new ruling means it will be up to the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia to find another prosecutor to take over the case and to decide whether to continue to pursue it, though that could be delayed if Willis decides to appeal to the state Supreme Court.

I doubt if she'll appeal.... She already looks stupid enough. But you never know. If I had seen the OP I would have posted under here rather than making a top post.... sorry

The court found that while “an appearance of impropriety generally is not enough to support disqualification, this is the rare case in which disqualification is mandated and no other remedy will suffice.”

To complete the unspoken part of the ruling...“an appearance of impropriety generally is not enough to support disqualification, this is the rare case in which disqualification is mandated and no other remedy will suffice, (because trump is a defendant and he's our guy)

Is she going to have to pay back the bribe money now?

(because trump is a defendant)
including that the trial court imposed an improper remedy after
concluding that DA Willis’ “prosecution” is encumbered by a “significant
appearance of impropriety” not grounded on “mere status alone,” but instead
resulting from “specific conduct, [impacting] more than a mere ‘nebulous’ public
interest because it concerns a public prosecutor.”

See the red bolded part?
Uh huh....
That's a hilarious take on people who are members of a message board actually responding to comments made on topics posted on the board, you know, the actual purpose of a message board.
I understand that. I dont understand Marvin claiming that I don't matter to him as he's replying to me. His actions are at odds with his claims.
ASSuming that you matter to people because they respond to you is a psychosis, you really should consider getting therapy for your narcissistic feelings of self worth.
I think maybe you're reading too much into what I mean by matter to. I just meant I mattered enough to him for him to want to respond to me.
Everyone gets responded to on here, I respond to a lot of posts, and you interpret that as you mattering to those people?
Yep. You're the one who seems to be placing some significance to the word. The posts you respond to matter enough to you for you to respond to them. That's basic logic.
Only a complete narcissist would think in that way, the worse thing that could happen to you on here would be for everyone to ignore you, it would crush you.
And you're back to fantasizing again.
I encourage everyone to just ignore your posts and never respond to them, it would be a knife to the heart for you.
How about you lead by example? :dunno:

I read the OP, watched you hilariously misunderstand it and get angry about it, and then laughed at you. The typical pattern. When you're no longer amusing, I'll go back to ignoring you.

Again, you don't matter. We're leaving you behind.
I nailed the OP. That's why Oddball admitted to everything I said and then bitched out. :lmao:

Willis would still be on the case if not for the appeals court's guy being the defendant. Having an affair with co-counsel in no way changed the facts of the case.

She acted like a spoiled teenage girl yelling and stomping around in the court room. On top of everything else, she should have been held in contempt.

The part you're missing is: no one will take the case, so it'll be dismissed eventually.

I wouldn't be surprised if a DA from a deep red county took the case just so he could dismiss it, with prejudice.
Whether or not anyone takes the case (before that Fani Willis will appeal) it won't change the fact that the appellate court affirmed the charges and my amusement over MAGAts needing to pretend otherwise.

From the ruling...

"The court noted that "an appearance of impropriety generally is not enough to support disqualification," but said this is a "rare case" in which "no other remedy" but disqualification "will suffice to restore public confidence in the integrity of these proceedings.""

That's the court saying the charges are bullshit without actually saying "the charges are bullshit".

They are talking about disqualification of Fani Willis, not the charges. He's a link to the ruling.

Pursuant to a granted interlocutory application, the appellants appeal from the trial court’s order denying their motion to dismiss the indictment and granting, in part, their motions to disqualify the Atlanta Judicial Circuit District Attorney Fani Willis (“DAWillis”) and her office. Collectively, the appellants assert numerous grounds to reverse the trial court’s order, including that the trial court imposed an improper remedy after concluding that DA Willis’ “prosecution” is encumbered by a “significant appearance of impropriety” not grounded on “mere status alone,” but instead resulting from “specific conduct, [impacting] more than a mere ‘nebulous’ public interest because it concerns a public prosecutor.”

Then after that, who is the fool that will now take up this flaming sack of dog shit?

NOBODY!

Did you? Because Fani Willis was disqualified but the appellate court upheld the charges against Trump and his co conspirators. Nowhere in their ruling do they say the charges were ginned up.

True.... The case was not about dismissing the charges It was about the prosecutor herself.
However it seems highly unlikely that the charges will survive on their own at this point.

Exactly..... They're not going to line up and volunteer for this one That's for sure. The taint on the whole process is so bad at this point I would say that it is inevitable at the entire thing will just go away.... Good, bad or indifferent.... The stink is too big. Nobody who's concerned with their reputation is going to want to pick up a legal file that smells like stale sex.
