In all fairness tho, most people don't have time to dig thru this in their work-a-day lives. they have jobs, kids, and all the rest. Plus, if you question this, then the race card is played. Yes, according to MSM only Whites can be supremacists; just ask the ADL, SPLC, NAACP or BLM.
While I don't deny that there are angry people who commit cruel and criminal acts against undeserving members of different ethnic groups, I also feel that it is the type of "crime" that is ripe for exploitation.

First, I find the very term "hate crime" to be curious and wonder to what degree simple hate should be criminalized since it is already such a self destructive emotion for the unhappy person carrying it around.

I agree that assault, libel and public slander are already crimes that should punished but attempting to punish someone simply for what they might have been thinking is the beginning of a dangerous trend that threatens our bedrock principal that one is considered innocent until proven guilty.

Author of the book "Hate Crime Hoax", Wilfred Reilly, (1) found that in 346 cases, fewer than 1 in 3 hate crimes turned out to be genuine.

Few people realize that when the ADL, SPLC, NAACP or BLM routinely report that hate crimes and acts of anti Semitism are "...on the rise", they don't realize that the "incident" is really just a claim which has been reported, a deliberate, self inflicted hoax to gain temporary fame and pity (2) or any other real or perceived slight that the offended person perceives as "hateful".

Finally, working in the hate crime industry must be both difficult and demanding work because the ADL's President requires a salary of $700,000 - $900,000 per year(3) to sniff out anti Semitism, perpetuate the standard Holocaust narrative and revile those who condemn the Gaza genocide.

Thanks. And, it was mentioned in this thread that there is no instrument measuring hate. There are a lot of emotions that can motiavate crime. It might be hate, but it could be something else: jealousy, anger, frustration, greed, etc. These spin freaks don't say "anger crime" or "greed crime" because it won't get an audience.

You're right, there's no way to measure hate so, the term "Hate Crime" remains meaningless unless it was purely motived by racist or ethnic hate.
As you said, jealousy, anger, frustration, greed etc can all be ways to motivate individuals to commit crimes and do hateful things but I think of "hate crimes" as being more racist in nature."

For example, if an individual is clearly targeted for physical assault because they happen to be Black, Asian, White, Jewish etc, that is an obvious hate crime.

On the other hand, if someone is physically assaulted and just happens to be Black, Asian, White Jewish etc, it should not be assumed that they were attacked because of their ethnic background and, therefore should not be qualified as a "hate crime".

This is a very informative thread.

It has become very profitable to claim that one is being discriminated against. Especially if you accused as a white man. And especially if you accuse her as a minority. It’s despicable what’s going on in this country. It takes away from the hard work and determination of many minorities and immigrants living in America today.
