There is surely some disinformation being presented by Hamas. This doesn't mean there isn't an extreme situation occurring in Gaza. After this long a period of time, this doesn't seem like a war anymore where Hamas has some the military capability to respond.

Yes, propaganda is being used, no question. Canada, Ireland, Israel, Gazans/Hamas, Saudi Arabia, China, even little Switzerland all engage in propaganda to promote interests.

The issue here is that it is really difficult for Israel to win the propaganda war when the capabilities of their enemies are well behind and there are so many citizens who are homeless.

There are going to have to be difficult choices made because Israeli soldiers continue to die too. There should not be much comfort in saying"yeah we lost 2 soldiers but you lost 200!".

These are men risking it all for these hostages and for Israelis long term survival but if there isn't any chance of peace, does it serve Israels long term interests in the region or around the globe?

I would argue definitely not. We all hope there is a safe place in Israel where Jews, Noahides, Christians and Muslims can reside some day. You don't want to hurt your own prospects that extend well beyond this war and I think that is a real risk in this war.

He and some other guy suddenly showed up a month or so after October 7 happened, and have only posted on the Israel / Gaza topic ever since, spamming this site every day with their propaganda.

And it just so happened that around that time an Israeli company was advertising jobs for people who want to post positive things about Israel online. Someone even posted a thread with a link to that job ad, which clearly showed they've been hiring people to post crap online.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's posting from India or some other country on the other side of the world.... The other paid poster on this topic has an American flag as his avatar. Gotta look the part, hence the generic American flag avatar.

IDF Continues Fight Against Hamas, Despite International Outcry.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continued attacking Hamas positions in northern Gaza this weekend, despite a growing international outcry claiming that Israel is committing [so-called] “genocide” by seeking military victory.

The IDF released video footage of operations by troops near the area of Jabaliya, near Gaza City, a key Hamas stronghold. The maneuvers intend to close in on the last area of Gaza largely untouched by the war thus far.

The IDF said in a statement:

'In recent days, troops of the 401st Brigade, under the command of the 162nd Division, have returned to combat in the Jabaliya area in the northern Gaza Strip.
The troops are operating to further degrade the military capabilities of the Hamas terrorist organization. The troops are dismantling terrorist infrastructure above and below ground, eliminating terrorists, and strengthening operational control in the area.
The troops’ activity enables the expansion of combat into additional areas and prevents Hamas terrorists from returning to operate in these areas.
So far, the troops have located an underground terror tunnel, eliminated terrorists, and dismantled a military structure that Hamas terrorists used to plan and carry out attacks against IDF troops.
IDF troops under the command of the Southern Command will continue to operate against the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip in order to maintain the security of the State of Israel.'

The IDF has avoided key parts of Gaza City thus far out of concern for the fate of the last Israeli hostages, 50 of whom — possibly 20 living — are being held there.
