No, my understanding is that they go out of business all the time, especially back when Bush was in power, clodhopping his way through the White House, oafing it through speeches, and killing innocent Iraqis and Americans in the dumbest war ever.

The government fantasy UI numbers ignore the long term discouraged workers and many other factors related to a major shift in our work force from working at one job for one employer full time to a larger part time workforce and a great deal of "job hopping" to survive. Many of the people that are part of those fairy tale numbers are only working a fraction of what they once did before the economic crash. Now they work multiple jobs and frequently lose them, because employers are taking advantage of tough times and reducing worker rights. Many skilled workers are working at McPartTimeGig instead of doing what they used to before the crash. Things are much tougher and less stable than before and nobody is happy except the rich, powerful and celebrity politicians (those who have been lucky look down on those who have not and act like nothing is wrong if they did not have to suffer themselves).

Most workers are forced to seek some kind of jobless aid, that is dwindling fast and falling under more and more unreasonable restrictions every day. Even worse, those jobless benefits have been cut, reduced and sequestered. Benefit programs have been allowed to expire when they should have been extended and expanded. A major shift in the requirements for jobless benefits, towards draconian rules that are unfair to the poor and struggling (like Florida for example see below) have led to a culture of denial not support and recovery. The unemployed victims of our economic disaster, have been squeezed from the very start, and that stone has little blood left to give.

And I have also uncovered, through my own court victory to restore denied jobless benefits, and years of investigating the same problem affecting many others, that up to millions of unemployed struggling workers and families nationwide may have been denied up to billions of dollars due to errors in the federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation Program (EUC08) (The US DOL published mistakes in program guidelines that contradict the laws congress wrote...all states have been following harmful errors that deny benefits since 2008):

Your favorite "celebrity prez" appears to be involved in this developing scandal (I am hoping the media will begin reporting more about in the near future). FOIA documents show he was notified about the problems described in the links above, with the federal EUC08 program implementation mistakes that had been denying so many claimants these emergency benefits, in November of 2011. Your "hero president" can't be bothered to respond to the detailed petitions I have made since 2011 based on the evidence I have shared in the links above about the EUC08 program implementation disaster.

So I don't think your facts are correct, and disagree with the listed effects, you try to make a positive. The President has been avoiding these allegations, and none of his involved agencies have been able to refute the evidence, so instead they ignore the right to petition, and pretend the problem does not exist (for as long as they can get away with).

Democracy is sliding into Plutocracy/Oligarchy day by day. The "Robber Barons" are back in charge, "buying" elections, paying lobbyists who get state and federal benefits to improperly influence the creation of laws, that support their own corporate goals. In fact they go back and forth from the high paid corporate world to work in the government, to be able to make a fortune by participating in legal for only them insider trading on wall street, and along the way influence policy to help their corporate interest that they go right back to once out of office (or help stop any counter legislation).

If any of you "we the people" outside the D.C. well fed and cared for bubble crowd, try to seek representation from them on any issues...then you will find out the truth about how little voice you have in this broken government. It's a farce...and we are all too stunned to act in any way expect to be at each others throats. The day we finally turn our collective attention towards those who are getting rich while we suffer, will be the first real day of "hope and change".

*Jobless claims are down but a record number of people have become so discouraged by the lack of jobs that they have stopped looking and therefore fall out of the unemployment number.
*If you think THIS is economic "recovery" then you're clueless about economics. Barack Obama has led us to the worst recovery from a recession since The Great Depression.
*Equity markets went back to record numbers because the Fed has kept interest rates near zero for almost FIVE YEARS!!! Now when there is even a hint at stopping Quantitative Easing the stock market goes into a nosedive.
