Facts About War of the Worlds (1953) You NEVER Knew!

The 1954 movie is based on the Orson Welles radio program broadcast around 1938 when the radio was the only source of entertainment or news available to the public at the time. Welles "Mercury theater of the air" broadcast pretended to be a real account of a Martian invasion at the time. It panicked it's listening audience especially in a fictional N.J. town called Grovers Mills.
