ā€˜Trump littered his new ā€œ60 Minutesā€ interview with a wide-ranging assortment of false claims, the vast majority of them previously debunked. We counted at least 18 inaccurate assertions.

Trump told his usual lie that the free and fair 2020 election was stolen from him. He lied again that grocery prices ā€œare downā€ even after CBS’ Norah O’Donnell informed him they are up. He declared once more that there is now ā€œno inflation,ā€ though there certainly is, and then that inflation is 2% or ā€œeven less than 2%,ā€ though the most recent available Consumer Price Index figure is now up to 3%.

The president also deployed multiple other fictional numbers during his exchanges with O’Donnell, which were recorded Friday and released by CBS on Sunday.

He falsely claimed ā€œ$17 trillionā€ is being invested in the US ā€œright now,ā€ though the $17 trillion figure is nearly double the White House’s own wildly inflated figure.

Trump is a liar, con man, and completely dishonest – unfit to hold any public office.

9 hours ago — The big picture: The sit-down came after Trump sued and settled with the network over the program's editing of an interview with then-Vice Kamala Harris.

The portions of the roughly 90-minute interview aired on "60 Minutes" Sunday totaled around 28 minutes. An extended 73-minute version posted online did not include parts of the full transcript posted to CBS News' website.

I said there is no quote of the lies, I just read the 2nd paragraph. There are no quote. Not even a para-phrase. There is some very incomplete, cherry picked words in which we are being told to believe is a lie. vague hersey.

Unless there is a quote with a link to the transcript then the idea that there is a lie by Trump, is an outrageous egregious lie meant to steal elections.

Inflation is significantly down from July 2022. See the chart.

United States Inflation Rate

The average inflation rate thus far into 2025 is lower than it was in 2024. That is a fact. Unless it tops 3.2% for each of the remaining months of the year, the average will be lower for the entire year.

Trump claimed there is no inflation. Then he claimed it’s 2%.

Neither is true. Obviously.

And Biden said the borders were not open among many other false statements. They weren’t true either. Did you care? Do all Presidents stretch the truth for political gain? Yes.

So you’re okay with Trump just gaslighting people?

Of course you are. It’s good for your political tribe.
