F-22 Raptor which cost the US taxpayer $130 million per jet fighter.
Was able to successfully shoot down an enemy Chinese balloon using an AIM-9X Sidewinder missile, that costs around $600 thousand dollars.
The pilot who made the balloon "Kill" now has the time honored tradition of having the downed enemy aircraft symbol painted on the side of the plane's fuselage.
Just 4 more balloon kills and the pilot would have unique distinction of being an "Ace" which requires a total of 5 kills.

According to Republicans, he saved the country from the wicked Chinese balloon

We should bill those dirty bastards for the 600 thousand

When will China learn that only our rogue balloons are allowed???

Buy American.

Did you honestly believe it should have remained free.to roam across America? He fact that is a balloon has no bearing.. As.I said, they would have flown a panda bear it still would 't be a cute little balloon. It would be encroaching on sovereign foreign territory

Since it was a toxic male pilot that shot down the enemy balloon.
He will be lucky to get even a Thank You from the Biden administration..

But if the pilot had been a birthing person.
She, her, them, they, would be invited to the White House and personally receive a hero's medal from Pres. Biden.

Tough shot on a gigantic balloon that is moving about 12 mph. A Cessna could have done the job with a AR 15 but in our convoluted politicized world the Raptor would have shot the Cessna down. Where was the Raptor jut when the balloon first crossed into U.S. airspace? Does the plane have a big round circle on it's side signifying a victory over the Chi/Com enemy?

A Cessna can fly around 14k feet and the balloon was at 60k....

I would have preferred a Vought Corsair because Corsairs are cool.

Yep seems as though it could have been brought down cheaper.

Chinese were smart having their spy balloon fly across the northern states.
Because they knew if the balloon was flown across southern states like Texas.
The good-ole-boy's would figure out a way to knock it down. ...
