You mean after they overthrew a ruthless dictator that America propped up?
Wife and I went to an event last year in our town. They had temporary barriers closing off all the streets just like that one.
Yeah, I don't know why supporters of this insane policy keep repeating that talking point.
As if nearly everyone on here doesn't know what the US did to Iran by its support of Saddam.
As if everyone doesn't know about surrounding Iran with military bases.
Key word was "prediction"... Of course you do realize that not everything is known or a given when nation's clash in epic battles for the sake of humanity right ??
Do you just easily write off the poor protesters that gave their all in hopes to get out from under an oppressive authoritarian regime ???
Regime change is no easy task when such a regime has been allowed to rule for over 40 years+, and has helped other oppressive regime's to make war against it's neighbor's, and also against it's own citizen's when the time arises.
When a particular nation finds itself under existential threat, they always turn to asymmetrical warfare. This is axiomatic.Poor Iran. They have to support terrorists around the world for self-defense.

From the British POV, Americans were the terrorists of the late 18th century.

One man’s freedom fighter… can we ever define terrorism?
Terrorism defies definition. We all know one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter; or in some cases, one man’s terrorist is another’s recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. The use of the word…theconversation.com
Every one of your posts are projection points. Funny that.Poor Iran. They have to support terrorists around the world for self-defense.

And that is the business of American taxpayers. . how? When a particular nation finds itself under existential threat, they always turn to asymmetrical warfare.
Exactly!
Gotta blow up those Jews in Argentina.
They replaced him with a more ruthless dictator.
See? Projection once again.Poor Khamenei, eh?
Never did nuthin' to nobody.
Why spread lies?Iranian Hostage situation: Day 2.
I suspect many here have no idea what the US has done to Iran over the last 80 years.Yeah, I don't know why supporters of this insane policy keep repeating that talking point.

Yeah....it's our fault that Iran has been killing thousands of Americans for 47 years.I suspect many here have no idea what the US has done to Iran over the last 80 years.
They like to condemn Iranians for chanting DEATH TO AMERICA but this is expected, once you study what the US has done to them.
From overthrowing their democratically elected government and installing a dictator, to supporting Saddam in their ten year war with Iraq, including providing chemical weapons used on Iranian soldiers, to massive economic sanctions that have likely killed many Iranians, to threatening them with destruction for decades, shooting down a passenger plane and refusing to apologize, to claiming they are the number one supporter of terrorism, to claiming they’d nuke the world if they got the bomb…
Bullshit.I wish there was a law stating that for every new war started, the President, Congress, etc have to enlist at least one or more family members to the US military of a branch of their choice. That would make them think a little more before starting a war.
And that is the business of American taxpayers. . how?
You gotta remember one thing boy, and that is that we aren't subject to the inept policies of past president's that never should have been allowed to be president's. We have a new sheriff in town, and he isn't scared of nothing, and he has a military that has his back. The regime is not going to change. We were unable to do that in Afghanistan after 20 years.
It doesn't take brilliance to understand history.
