Yeah, I don't know why supporters of this insane policy keep repeating that talking point.

As if nearly everyone on here doesn't know what the US did to Iran by its support of Saddam.

As if everyone doesn't know about surrounding Iran with military bases.

Poor Iran. They have to support terrorists around the world for self-defense.

Key word was "prediction"... Of course you do realize that not everything is known or a given when nation's clash in epic battles for the sake of humanity right ??

Do you just easily write off the poor protesters that gave their all in hopes to get out from under an oppressive authoritarian regime ???
Regime change is no easy task when such a regime has been allowed to rule for over 40 years+, and has helped other oppressive regime's to make war against it's neighbor's, and also against it's own citizen's when the time arises.

The regime is not going to change. We were unable to do that in Afghanistan after 20 years.

It doesn't take brilliance to understand history.

When a particular nation finds itself under existential threat, they always turn to asymmetrical warfare. This is axiomatic.

From the British POV, Americans were the terrorists of the late 18th century.

Search for pilot of downed US fighter jet enters second day

The search for the pilot of a U.S. fighter jet that went down over Iran entered its second day on Saturday, as Iranian officials denied reports that the American crew member has been detained.

U.S. forces rescued one pilot of a two-seat F-15E Strike Eagle that was shot down over Iran Friday, according to a U.S. official. The second crew member remains missing.

On Saturday, Iranian local officials — from one of the country's southern provinces — and the regional leadership of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps denied reports that the second pilot had been found and arrested, Iran’s semiofficial Mehr news agency reported. Iranian officials issued a public plea Friday for locals to find the American crew member, offering a reward equivalent of $60,000, according to official and semi-official Iranian news organizations.

I figure he either did not survive the shootdown due to injury or the ejection/landing or he is still still evading.

I suspect many here have no idea what the US has done to Iran over the last 80 years.

They like to condemn Iranians for chanting DEATH TO AMERICA but this is expected, once you study what the US has done to them.

From overthrowing their democratically elected government and installing a dictator, to supporting Saddam in their ten year war with Iraq, including providing chemical weapons used on Iranian soldiers, to massive economic sanctions that have likely killed many Iranians, to threatening them with destruction for decades, shooting down a passenger plane and refusing to apologize, to claiming they are the number one supporter of terrorism, to claiming they’d nuke the world if they got the bomb…

Yeah....it's our fault that Iran has been killing thousands of Americans for 47 years.

Iran even killed 45,000 of their own people since the 1st of the year.

How many Iranians did we kill in that time?

I wish there was a law stating that for every new war started, the President, Congress, etc have to enlist at least one or more family members to the US military of a branch of their choice. That would make them think a little more before starting a war.
Bullshit.

You gotta remember one thing boy, and that is that we aren't subject to the inept policies of past president's that never should have been allowed to be president's. We have a new sheriff in town, and he isn't scared of nothing, and he has a military that has his back.

We haven't seen this kind of courage since WW2 in a president, so again I ask you - do you just forget about the Iranians that want freedom from the oppressive Muslim regime ??
Egypt had enough sence to oust the Muslim brotherhood bandits, so I got to hand'em that one for sure.
