If redneck gun owners think they can take on the US Military with their AR15, they are sadly mistaken

And we all know that you don't have to take on the US military directly to succeed against it. First, a significant portion of the military would refuse to attack fellow Americans and would defect along with whatever advanced weaponry they have. Some bases and ordinance dumps would come under the control of the resistance as a result. Second, as we have seen in several nations we've invaded, when the population is armed, determined and ready for the long haul, it comes down to who gets tired first, and I think sympathy would rapidly switch when the F-15s start destroying large portions of cities, destroying infrastructure and plunging millions into misery. When enough people turn against the government, it either folds to them or has to set up an oppressive dictatorship, and that's very hard to do when there are millions of, yes, AR-15s out there behind every tree, every door, and every rock.
