There is a HUGE threat to democracy, democrats say. If you exercise your constitutional right and vote for anyone else but democrats, that is an existential crisis to humanity and existence. Why all the hyperbole, democrats? You just lose in this election cycle. There is always next time...Why the drama?

Why?

Democrats are standing on the tracks, they see the train coming, and can't get off the tracks.

You pointed out the fact that Democrats aren't telling voters why they should vote for Democrats - its all lies, propaganda, attacks, and fear-mongering.

In the last days before the election, THIS is all they can offer the American voter.

If a comet destroyed Washinton DC, Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat controlled senate, I would not be sad.

Agreed..lots of angst. Of course, when the Right lose, their heads explode as well. I've heard umpteen times how this is an existential moment for the Democrats and that a Repub victory signals 'the end'. What is a surprise is that I hear it from the Right..that somehow an expected result from a midterm election will be some huge victory and change everything..when in fact nothing will change and in real terms, the Right will be no better off than they were before the election.
Congress is broken--and a nominal change in leadership in not going change that...nothing can get past a veto and the only thing that will change is the Kabuki. A show impeachment....sham investigations and rhetoric for the party faithful.

The only true danger to democracy is when our institutions are called into doubt...like refusing to accept the results of an election..and trying to 'game' one's way into power.

The midterms have always been a 'meh' election.

Don't vote for Democrats or propositions that want to spend your money for the 'less fortunate' fuck them. Your money should by yours, not theirs.
