As a general rule, the less you know about actual science, the more you are convinced that Evolution is a "fact." Lefties believe it as fervently as the most fervent Muslim believes in his religion. Hence rational discussion of the topic is usually pointless.

Completely wrong. First, I think you totally do not understand the meaning of theory in science. Second, while Darwin's hypothesis of natural selection is the seminal work in evolution, vastly more has been learned since his time. And we are now engineering with genetics. And have mapped our own genetic DNA, and that of many, many other species. And that has traced our relationships to all life on Earth.

Yes, dna is a part of the apparent design that Darwin saw in speciation. He didn't know about DNA, but he knew there was the appearance of design.

Natural Selection was his naturalistic explanation for that apearance. A very interesting theory, but not settled science.

And, yes, evolution has been verified with experimentation.
