Evidence Mounts of GOP Involvement in trump’s Election Schemes
There is much frustration among Congress’ moderate Democrats concerning the evidence piling up proving so many of their Republican friends and colleagues were involved in trump’s January 6th failed coup attempt.
The congressional majority has long been an unwanted position for moderate Democrats, it puts the burden on them to serve the needs their constituents, which they certainly want to avoid in order to keep their major political contributors happy and sending them cash (lots and lots of cash).
Beginning in 2019 Party leaders spent months maneuvering to assure “Status Quo Joe” Biden would be nominated as the Democrats’ 2020 presidential candidate (even though other, better qualified candidates would have benefited from Party backing). Moderate Democrats in charge of Party policy-making failed to realize the vast majority of centrist voters (would join progressives) in being sick and tired of the Republicans’ (especially trump’s) corruption and incompetence by the time Election Day arrived in November, 2020.
Party leaders were just as surprised as the Republican rank-and-file that Biden won the popular vote, and, that the Democrats won the majority in both chambers of Congress.
However, to assure the return of the GOP’s majority following the 2022 Mid-terms, the moderate Democrats quickly formulated a plan to aggravate and disappoint the folks back home. It was decided that fossil fuel entrepreneur/Senator Joe Manchin and (oddly enough) the openly bisexual, AZ Senator Kyrsten Sinema, would oppose all legislation proposed that might benefit consumers, working Americans, minority voters, and other underrepresented segments of society.
With “Status Quo Joe” Biden’s failure (or refusal) to lobby his own party members to help pass his agenda, coupled with the House Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection slow-walking that process, and Attorney General Merrick Garland’s extreme timidity in enforcing the law, the establishment of an authoritarian government to replace the current facade of U.S. democracy in January 2023 is assured.
The only obstacle to this move to authoritarianism ordered by the wealthy and powerful in this country, will be their quickly retiring to well-supplied fallout shelters (for decades) when Putin causes a nuclear apocalypse in the next few months? Weeks? Days? Possibly hours?
