The fact is that some black people are violent, irresponsible, destructive, incompetent, immoral, dangerous and most black people are peaceful, responsible, positive, competent, moral/religious, an asset to society.

Same with brown people, Asian people, Native American people etc.

And not a single person is the person they are because of the color of their skin. Other than physical abilities and/or limitations, all are the way they are because that is what they choose to be.

America was settled by people of mostly European origin and those of European heritage continue to be the majority here. Because they have been here the longest and continue to be a large majority, more white people do enjoy prosperity. For the current generation that has nothing to do with 'white privilege' and everything to do with existing numbers.

Black people and some others (Italians, Chinese, Irish, etc.) have experienced terrible racism and bigotry in their histories, but our country has learned and evolved to eliminate the barriers that were once in their way and all have been free to make the same choices that allow everybody to prosper for almost 60 years now. They can no longer use 'white privilege' as an excuse for not prospering any more than white people can blame others for their own bad choices.

To blame the current American of whatever color for America's past sins is as ridiculous as blaming the current German for the Holocaust or the current Japanese person for Pearl Harbor.

Our history is what it is, the good and the bad. We should learn from ALL of our history, understand and repeat what is good and learn from the mistakes and bad choices of previous generations so we don't repeat them.
