Most women who are sexually assaulted don't report it to the police. Many ashamed or afraid they won't be believed.

And even after Ford presented evidence that the account was relayed in 2012 (long before Kavanaugh's hearing or Trump's presidential run), even after Ford passed a lie detector test.....her attackers still insist that she can't be believed.
