That belt tensioner hadn't already been squealing for a while? You need to look under the hood when you start hearing noises like that, unless you like being stuck on the side of the road.

Nope. Heard a clicking sound briefly this morning on the highway. Got to the jobsite, took a peek. Nothing out of the ordinary. Left the jobsite and about 30 minutes later, BAM.

Thanks but already towed to the shop and got a loaner.
Usually I'll do my own stuff. Just did a heater core last fall but not doing squat in the snow & cold.
