Donald Trump — once a fierce critic of electric vehicles — claimed in a late-night Truth Social post on Monday that he’s going to buy ONE brand new Tesla on Tuesday morning.
It will be a show of solidarity with top ally Elon Musk, who owns the electric vehicle manufacturer, the president said.
“But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s “baby,” in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for,” he added.
