EU parliament head: We wont boycott Israel

The EU will not initiate a boycott against Israel, according to a conversation Tuesday between European Parliament President Martin Schulz and opposition head and Labor party leader Isaac Herzog, which was quoted in an Israeli report.
Schulz stressed to Herzog that Israels problem is with the [European] business sector, according to Ynet. There will be no European decision to boycott Israel, he said.
On Monday, the EU leader met with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and pledged his support for US-led peace efforts. Abbas highlighted the importance of Europes role in supporting Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, and praised European support, in positions and statements, of the Palestinian people, according the official Palestinian News Agency.
