I've seen a lot of hope and excitement coming from Dems regarding this "release". I don't get it.

These materials weren't just sitting there at the DOJ. And they're only going to release what they absolutely have to, after stalling for as long as they can, with as many redactions as possible.

Only one small problem with that - Congress has access to unreducted materials. They will know what DOJ is holding back and if there is really not a very good reason it will be released as per law.
