It appears that you are NOT in favor of Enlisted Flyers. I noticed that your response to that one was very bitter. Since the Colleges are turning out people that don't want to fly in the Military, the Air Force has to do something. Even if it means turning the clock back to the AAF days and have Flying Sgts. Outside of the Navy with it's Line Officer, the other branches require all Officers to be college grads. a BS in Basket Weaving counts. Are you aware that about half of the enlisted in the AF is either working towards a college degree or already has it? But most have something that won't enable them to be commissioned.
Nice shot there General. My Mother died of Cancer after years of suffering from it in 2002.
Where did I say that? I objected to someone making remarks that there were no differences in the officer and enlisted ranks.
You don't don't know what a line officer is in the Navy, and Army officers are not required to be college graduates, hence it's huge number of warrant officers.
In regards to your mother, I am sorry for your loss. My mother passed away last year.
Newsflash: WOs are not commissioned. They are neither officer nor enlisted. When I retired, I was offered a WO slot in the Guards. Not as a flyer but as a manager for the Motor Pool. The last WO in the AF retired in 1971. The AF had already created the Super Sgt ranks.
Yes., Google is your friend.
Where did I say they were? You seem to enjoy putting words in other people's mouth!
You have some serious reading deficiencies.
WTF are Super Sgt ranks?
I used a term that was used in the AF in the late 60s and early 70s when the Super Sgt was created and the WO was quietly allowed to just disappear. Had you been something other than a 2 year bilge rate you would know that.
Listen up old timer, in 1970, I was 10 years old. I am now 57 and a 3-time grandfather. Your post was the first time I had ever read "Super Sgt" in my lifetime.
BTW, "Super Sergeant" is a video game, and apparently you are one of the few people who know anything else by that name.
Just FYI, I was a nuclear field electronics technician, training to be a reactor operator. Bilge rate? Not quite there Great-grandpa!
