You mean cut government spending, fraud and waste so that your main market for your vehicles doesn't go bankrupt and the reserve dollar collapse which would cause the plummeting of your stock to 10% of it's value?

I'd say, outside of the moral reasons it is very good for business to address this. Quite a patriotic and prudent decision on his part.

Elon’s wealth is based on stock price. If he doesn’t start doing his real job, Tesla will tank and everything else the “genius” touches will follow.

Although I'm pretty sure Trump's going to run true to form, and fuck up the miracle that Powell handed him .... improving consumer confidence, falling rates, full employment ....

I had some hope that Musk would be less a partisan and more a patriot in figuring out how to do the same job the govt's doing with less ... but probably not.

I mean FDR had rich guys working for free to find ways for more efficiency. But that's probably not Musk's real chore.
