In this election, the GOP candidates won by about 14 points.

They were special elections! Winning by double digits in special elections is a feat in itself. Sweeping two is monumental. Furthermore, turnout in special elections is always low.

Republicans have 220 seats in the House now. Parsing the result is pointless.
