Electric car markets surge. Setting new record in 2021.

I have no problem with there still being vehicles powered by oil. And it's not going to happen over night. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ You would have to be crazy to think that electric cars were going to replace gas engines.

But the word is getting out and more and more people are investing in electric cars. Thank you Elon musk.

No it's actually more cost effective. Especially with gas prices going up.
My ass. The same people who are pushing the EV cars are the SAME people making gas more expensive trying to push EV cars on everyone!

Any idea just how expensive gas would have to become to make it cheaper to just buy a $90,000 EV than keep your paid for ICE?

You see most people see the advantage of the electric car especial as the everyday driver from work and home. For long trips it makes sense right now to use gas engines.

But I have heard stories about two gallons of gas in a generator fully charging an electric vehicle for long trips that would of used twenty gallons to travel that distance.

πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ You're funny.

Ok tell me how the lack of supply of oil and increase demand was the people pushing to lessen the demand so you don't have to supply.

Go ahead this should be good.

You're an idiot. What you said doesn't even make sense and I won't play word games with a moron. EV cars are fine if you want one but the Biden Admin is trying to FORCE them on us. Like you said, if gas becomes expensive enough-- -- -- well, guess who is driving the cost of fuel up?

You're an idiot. What I said was how is dropping demand in a supply and demand industry a bad thing when it comes to prices.

The reason you called me stupid and ran away whining is because you can't and won't explain the market forces driving oil prices.

You have no clue what you are talking about all you were told to do as a good sheeple is repeat the line.

You're an idiot.
That's what I said, you're an idiot.

How do you "drop demand?"

The reason you called me stupid and ran away whining
I never ran away whining. I guess you just imagine shit to protect your snowflake ego.

is because you can't and won't explain the market forces driving oil prices.
No need. 50 threads in the past few months here have already done that. You should try reading them.

You have no clue what you are talking about
To the contrary, I always know what I'm talking about and I'm talking to an idiot.

Thank God he bought Twitter huh?

No it wasn't, your link is a LIE. Here they admit as much, "Explicit subsidies accounted for only 8 percent of the total." I'll just laugh in your face now to save time :auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:
I especially like that new Orwellian "implied subsidy" thingy.

I wonder who made the inference to be implied?

Massive new plant outside of Austin...Massive service center in NW Houston. TESLA is working hard to make the oil industry (and Texas) irrelevant.

Didn't the Biden administration promise to purchase electric powered vehicles in the government pool including the postal authority? That would account for the "surge".

Hey, I'm cool with rich guys buying Teslas, fine by me. But until the cost comes down I don't think mainstream America is going to move away from ICE vehicles, especially in times like this. Especially out in the sticks and up north in cold country.

FWIW, I think we're going to need a comprehensive energy plan in this country that includes all kinds of cars and trucks that is based on common sense and sound fiscal policy. Right now, EVs might make sense for some people in urban areas and that's fine but we're going to have to upgrade our power grid to recharge all those future EVs.

The base model Tesla Model 3 is $42,690.
