I just got back from 5 days in NYC. For every person I saw that had any education or decency I saw 20 pos. If liberals are so educated why are they always begging for free shit from the government.

If you are referring to the EC, the Founders saw fit to equalize densely populated geographic areas with less-densely populated areas. Just because a certain geographic area has more people, shouldn't mean they should be able to rule less dense geographic areas especially those that provide food and sustenance. It is not always the densely populated cities that make adequate legislation and decisions for all of America. The EC is actually a pretty weak power for Rural-America and typically agrees with the popular vote but, when it doesn't, that signals a population shift away from progressive policies, political correctness and Neo-Marxist ideals.

The EC failed in it's initial purpose. They had to modify it severely with the 12th Amendment after the 1800 election turned into a shit storm where Aaron Burr tried to pull off a congressional coup and get himself appointed President.

The thing is, our system has buffers like the EC to keep something like Trump from happening, but our politicians are too afraid to implement them. If the EC worked the way it was supposed to, the Electors would have said, "Jesus ******* Christ, Trump is nuts!" If they didn't, Congress should have.

The Electoral College has worked exactly as it was intended, and should since the Constitution mandated it. If you want to get rid of it, lobby your politicians to call a Constitutional Convention. The Constitution. Has been amended many tomes before, so it can happen again, For example we amended it to install Prohibition, then amended it again to repeal it, so it can be done.

However, be careful what you wish for, as others have said, no matter where you live, nor what you want NYC, and L.A. Metro areas will dictate to you and do what is good for them, not you. We will become one Collective morass, and your state will be meaningless. The only politicians that will matter will be in D.C. and good luck pressuring them. They are too far away, and too insulated to care about you.
