Election Reform and the Spoiler Effect

If those voters had only the choice to vote for Palin, they might well have voted for her in a Republican primary. RCV makes an assumption of that.
Makes an assumption of what? You're the one assuming that the Begich voters who ranked Peltola over Palin would have voted for Palin if she was the only one in the race. If that were so, why on earth would they have ranked Peltola over Palin?
That makes no sense.
I really wish you would research this further so you can educate yourself why the RCV system fails to meet the smell test every time.
I've researched it plenty.

So why are constantly wrong?

It worked for a couple hundred years, Till we started messing with it.

Me: "Hi, I'd like to vote. My name is JoeB131."

Clerk: "Thank you, sir! Here is your ballot. Please proceed to the voting booth."

Is that how it works? Is it that simple to cheat?

Except I would have to know JoeB131's address and polling station.

And hope the real JoeB131 doesn't show up and make a stink.

So, no, it isn't "that easy" to cheat.

7460 of Begich supporters wanted Peltola over Palin. Maybe they weren't "really" conservatives in the first place, but when it came time to rank, they put Palin at the bottom - below Peltola. That's the inconvenient fact that is bouncing off your head.

But here's the real problem. There was never a debate between Palin and Peloita because Palin and Begich were too busy debating who was the real Republican/Conservative.

In a runoff, Palin could have made her argument against Peloita directly, and if they still decided that they wanted vote for Peloita anyway, that was fine.

But a convoluted system where people had no idea that Peloita might actually win, that's a problem.

Just like the 70% who voted against Eric Adams.

But here's the real problem.
No. That's not a real problem.

It's a fake "problem". A diversion. You're advocating for an alternative that you know is too time consuming and expensive. Because you don't actually want reform. You want to maintain the closed, two-party system. You've made that clear.

Hey, if a third party not run by loons comes along, I'd be happy to consider it.

I'm 62 years old. Every third party in my lifetime has been loons, communists, anarchists, or racists.

I can't care.

Or you just don't realize that third parties are not serious people.
Nah. I just can't take your trolling seriously. Generally the only reason you post is to derail threads and play headgames.

Just imagine if we had a decent electorate. None of this would be an issue.

Yeah. That's a dismal subtext, but it's getting harder and harder to ignore. Democracy can't survive dumb voters.

and you'll be wading through it for 10 more as I keep mocking Libertarian Children.

You want to introduce a convoluted system to give the third party loons more gravitas than they deserve.
Trump vs Harris. That's the best your precious two party circle jerk can come up with. I'll take Chase Oliver over that crap every single time.

Trump vs Harris. Pathetic.

Current Vice President vs. Past President?

Harris is just fine. She's accomplished more in her life than you ever will.

Trump, frankly, if it weren't for his personality, and the awful things he does, would be somewhat accomplished.

Meanwhile, let's look who the Libertard Party is putting up this year.

Chase Oliver... someone who has never won an election. His main claim to life is being one of those people who shows up at public hearings at places he doesn't live and making an ass of himself.
