Daylight Attack in NW Shocks Police, Neighbors

D.C. police yesterday released a security videotape that shows an 83-year-old woman being punched, kicked and stomped during a daylight robbery this week in Northwest Washington.

The tape shows a man apparently stalking the victim, attacking her, rifling through her pockets and then walking away, leaving her on the ground. The episode took place Tuesday afternoon near the Foggy Bottom Metro stop.

"It is a brutal beating. It's one of the worst beatings I've seen captured on tape," said Sgt. John D. Rucker. "Everybody that has looked at it has cringed."

That's disturbing.

When and if they catch him, his punishment should be allowing the womans grandchildren to pummel him, that way he will fully understand the error of his ways.
