They shouldn't be trashing "Gender Studies?" Why should my child have to be subjected to a state-mandated curriculum that only indoctrines its youth? If any of the three of us had suggested “communications” or “gender studies” as a major, there would have been no money for college from my parents.

What's wrong with Communications? It's a legitimate major. One of my roommates was a Communications major and he went on to become a successful newspaper reporter in NYC. All of this judging majors shit is stupid. If anyone can make a career out of whatever major, more power to 'em.
