Bank of America Corp. provided the latest reminder that U.S. consumers are a long way from fully recovering from the worst recession since the Great Depression. In its earnings announcement, the bank's new CEO Brian Moynihan said, "economic conditions remain fragile."

That has to be the understatement of the year.
With UI claims soaring and nothing bouncing up from the Bottom of the economic collapse, conditions are quite frankly far worse than fragile.
But, hey! I'm an optimist. I always hope that a miracle will happen. I always put a dollar in the lottery.
