What if some big election news occurs during early voting? The early voter has thus been robbed of information.
The presidential election is the Super Bowl of election days … even if a football player is sick on the Super Bowl day …they’re playing in it. They are playing in the Super Bowl. They’re not doing anything else. It’s that important. Frankly the presidential election is like that.
Overseas military and American citizens living abroad should be able to vote early. Perhaps that’s about it for early voting.
This was the talk on C-SPAN this morning… in the year 2000 something like 24 states allowed early voting…. Now 47 states allow early voting. Georgia and North Carolina have already had 1 million votes during early voting.
Election day needs to be an important day. Probably a national holiday. Where most Americans are voting on that day.
