Early voting needs to be done with Or readjusted

This thread is in chaotic meltdown, but...
I'm going to vote early for the first time this coming Saturday the 26th.
WOOT.

"Maybe."

Okay, equivocator.

That's not equivocation you moron, that's what you cuck whites are doing in regards to demographic change.... ... I'm simply acknowledging that I don't really know what form of mental retardation you suffer from and unlike you Sad Boys I don't do cosplay.

More of your Homo Fragility. Man up.

Ah, the voice of Russia chimes in.

How are the Russian elections going?

What's that, you don't really have real elections, just sham elections? Imagine that. That would mean you shouldn't be lecturing any actual democracy.

By your "logic", every election should be postponed indefinitely, because new news might come in. Your "logic" is hilariously stupid.
Hell, most of the maga's on this board are not from the U.S.

What if some big election news occurs during early voting? The early voter has thus been robbed of information.

The presidential election is the Super Bowl of election days … even if a football player is sick on the Super Bowl day …they’re playing in it. They are playing in the Super Bowl. They’re not doing anything else. It’s that important. Frankly the presidential election is like that.

Overseas military and American citizens living abroad should be able to vote early. Perhaps that’s about it for early voting.

This was the talk on C-SPAN this morning… in the year 2000 something like 24 states allowed early voting…. Now 47 states allow early voting. Georgia and North Carolina have already had 1 million votes during early voting.

Election day needs to be an important day. Probably a national holiday. Where most Americans are voting on that day.
I guess you don't believe in freedom of choice. I opted to vote early and put my ballot in a drop box. I could have voted early at city hall or waited until election day. I made a choice and don't appreciate people who claim they know what is best for me and want to force their belief on me.

There are pluses and minuses to early voting (in person - mail-in early voting is a whole 'nother beast).

Obviously, if you have something planned for November 5th, that would be a reason. It also allows you to vote at your convenience, and not risk the possibility of waking up with the flu or something on election day. Also, it can make voting more efficient, since there are long lines on election at some voting stations. Voter turnout is higher too.

But the downsides are significant. As you stated, something important could happen - a scandal or a candidate could withdrawal for personal reasons or even be killed. It is also more expensive. For states that count early votes as they are made, it facilitates informing the opposition about how many votes they need to turn things around. For states which don't count ballots until election day, there are significant security concerns - ballots must be stored and may be damaged (by weather, fire, or other mishap), misplaced, stolen, or tampered with.

I am voting on election day, in person, with Photo ID, as I always do.

The government's incompetence is my main consideration in voting early and avoiding any unexpected pitfalls on the election day. Plus, since I began voting by mail, I've notice when doing so at my leisure, I take more time researching the candidates and propositions and don't 2nd guess myself as I've done when inside a voter's booth. Finally, I haven't voted in person in years and would think with our four-page ballot, things would be slow and tedious at the polls.

It's funny how you homosexuals like "gay pride" in the abstract, but shy away from in personally. lol
You homosexuals? I'm not gay. You're the one literally fantasizing about gay men. Stop projecting. You're being rather obvious..... :lmao:

I have only early voted once or twice by absentee ballots when I was in college. I find it amusing to see people lined up to early vote here. They'll stand in that damn line longer to early vote than they would on election day. It hasn't taken me more than 10 minutes to vote since we switched to the optical reader machines and paper ballots. They scan my license, give me a ticket for the ballot hander outer guy who hands me my ballot and I go fill in the little circles, put it in the reader on the way out the door and away I go. In a school gym, there are a plethora of seats to vote at. At the registrars office for early voting, they can only run a couple people through at a time.
