Apparently Duante was no saint. This is a summary of the events that led to Duante's attempted arrest. Don't be fooled by the media showing innocent pictures of him and glowing eulogies.

"Daunte Wright, the 20-year-old Black man shot by a police officer in a Minneapolis suburb Sunday afternoon, had an open warrant for his arrest related to an aggravated armed robbery attempt when he was killed, according to court records. Wright and another man, identified as Emajay Maurice Driver, a high school acquaintance, had both been charged with first-degree aggravated robbery in a December 2019 incident in Osseso, Minn., Hennepin County District Court documents show. According to the documents, Wright and Driver went to a party at an apartment in the 600 block of North Oaks Drive in Osseo – about 5 miles from Brooklyn Center, where Wright was fatally shot. Around 2:30 a.m., two women at the home told Wright and Driver they needed to leave, but the two men said they did not have a ride, the documents say. The women reportedly allowed the Wright and Driver to spend the night."

"In the morning, one of the two women left the apartment to get $820 in cash to pay the other for rent. After paying the rent, she left for work. As Wright and Driver were waiting for their rides, the other woman who stayed behind said Wright allegedly blocked the door, preventing her from leaving. Wright then allegedly pulled a black handgun “with silver trim out from either his right waistband or his right coat pocket,” pointed it at the woman and demanded the $820, the court documents say. The victim asked him, “Are you serious?” to which he allegedly responded, “Give me the f—ing money, I know you have it,” according to the court documents. When she asked again if he was serious, he allegedly told her, “I’m not playing around.” Wright then allegedly choked the woman while trying to pull the cash out from under her bra, where she had tucked it away."

"The court documents say she was able to pry herself loose and “started to kneel down and scream.” She told authorities that she allegedly heard Driver tell her to give the money to Wright, who was yelling at her to stop screaming. She reportedly screamed at them to get out of her apartment, telling them that the cops were close. Wright allegedly told her he would shoot her and said, “Give me the money and we will leave, give me the money and we will go.” He allegedly tried to choke her a second time and tried to take her money, according to the court documents. Driver allegedly told her to give Wright the money. The two men then left the apartment, got into a white Cadillac, and left the scene without the money. "

"The woman later identified Wright and Driver via photo line-ups. Wright was arrested and later released on $100,000 bail. As a condition of his release, he was not to have contact with the victim or witnesses, had to refrain from drugs and alcohol, and could not possess a firearm. Wright’s bail was revoked in July because he allegedly possessed a firearm and was not keeping in touch with his probation officer, according to documents obtained by Fox News. The case was still pending when Wright was pulled over Sunday for having an expired license plate. Police then tried to arrest him on an outstanding warrant after failing to appear in court on charges that he fled from officers and possessed a gun without a permit during an encounter with Minneapolis police in June."

Meh, 95% of the time this is the case.

Now we'll hear why none of it matters, but it does.

Life is a series of numbers games. Undertake high-risk activities and you'll end up paying the price eventually unless extremely lucky.

Drink too much you might get liver disease. Unprotected sex you might end up with an STD. Sell drugs and you might end up dead in an alley. Speed while driving you might end up in an accident.

This is no different. He played the game and it turned out badly for him. Zero sympathy for him. None.

What the hell does any of this have to do w/him being gunned down in broad daylight OP?
No conservative ever has to look far for a reason not to give a shit.

If he hadn't done thug shit he wouldn't have had a warrant and likely wouldn't have been accidentally shot.

For every action there is a reaction.

Floyd and this guy already committed armed robberies and showed no remorse. They played the game and lost, the cops shouldn't have to pay for their dumbass decision.

He resisted arrest and then tried running away.

Frankly, with the history of the weapons which we now know that he had, and the police knew at the time, they were justified to use any force against him as he would be considered a danger to the officers and the public.

Of course, that has nothing to do with that cop accidently shooting him.

Unless you consider resisting arrest nothing to do with his demise.

Well, case closed now.

It seems he paid with his life for the cop's dumbass decision. How in the holy hell does anyone mistake a handgun for a taser? No excuse.

Resisting arrest shouldnt be a death warrant.
Apparently, she wanted to taze him. Which would have been smart. Not put a fuckin bullet in him.

It seems you are a stupid dumbass....Frankly it was Duante's dumbass decision to cut and run. Had he not done that he would not be room temperature today. The cop did not 'decide' to shoot Duante it was a mistake because she thought she had a Tazer on him. She even shouted "TAZER" as a warning. The evidence is on video yet you fucking racist yahoos are creating your own faux racist story so you can riot and burn again. You should be ashamed of yourself for taking the side of a Felon.

He was no saint; this is true.

His life choices set him on a path which are really beneficial to no one.

And, while it could be argued that his life choices ended up putting him in that situation, what cannot be argued is that the reason he's dead is because a police officer fucked up, and fucked up big time.

I don't believe for a second that she meant to shoot the kid. I don't believe that for a second because, as a seasoned officer, she knew that the next level of force which was appropriate was a taser. But I'm stumped on just how she could mistake a Glock for a taser. That makes no sense to me. A taser weighs about half as much as a loaded 9mm and, if I'm not mistaken, is yellow in color...

If I'm sitting in my truck and somehow put it in reverse instead of drive and backed over someone should I be excused? Hell no. Every time the cops kill someone without a valid excuse the conservative love of personal responsibility goes out the window.

Yes, that needs to be investigated for sure. We even see her yelling "TAZER" while holding the gun on Duante. If the race baiters (racists I call them) didn't make up shit and riot, maybe we could find out why this happened because if it happened once it can happen again. That's what sane folks would do but BLM, Antifa and most of the racist yahoos on this Forum are a far cry from sane.

I can agree with you on that one, but his reputation he created and the cop knew about it. If he didn't try to resist arrest he would be alive. If the cop did nothing and he took off and ran over an innocent bystander. You would still blame the cop, people got to do as the cop request and they will live to tell about it.
