You know it’s bad when even Democrats are starting to admit Biden, who has been president for just over a month, is not doing well mentally. Why else would three DOZEN House Democrats ask him to give up his sole authority to launch nuclear weapons?

WAIT A MINUTE: Didn't Nanzy Pelozi petition the Pentagon to take Trump's authority away from him calling him too dangerous and incompetent? Now a month in they admit Biden is everything of that and WORSE? If he's too incompetent to trust with the codes, he's too incompetent for the job of running the country or signing EOs.

Nanzy better fire up her 25th Amendment and put the Jamaican Commie Slut in there so the country can see what it REALLY voted for!

'Note the third paragraph where Dems reference ‘past presidents’ and then check out the footnotes. There’s no question this is less about Biden and more about their fear of Trump becoming president again. Trump lives in their heads constantly!

Ed Morrisey writes at Hot Air that it’s not a terrible idea to put such control of the nuclear stockpile under more consensus'

"Jamaican commie slut." not bad

Excellent idea.

They should also call on Biden to work to repeal the presidential pardon. I have no doubt he'll use it fairly. His predecessor dangled pardons like a reward for doing his bidding. So will his successors.

let captain Kirk have the red button

This bill originated in Obama's admin, reintroduced in Trump's and now Biden's. It would require Congress to approve the US using first strike nukes against a foreign country. Since a nuclear strike would no doubt lead to the destruction of most human civilization, Congress would like that decision to include them.
I hope it doesn't pass. Congress doesn't deserve any special powers at the moment. Christ, we'd be invaded five times to Sunday before they got done debating it.

I could see consulting the Chairs of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence or something, but the military already plays a role in preventing an irrational strike and most senators wouldn't have the background to make a strategic decision--if there IS such a thing as a strategic decision involving nukes.

Ironic since Congress is already destroying the world without nukes.

Imagine Joseph Stolen confusing the nuclear buttons with a box of crayons.... and Russia disappears. He's already broken his foot trying to jack the dog off in the shower.... he really needs closer supervision. I actually agree with the filthy fucking marxist animals on this one....

Some amusing stuttered shit from today:

Give it a break, Chicken Little. The Dems have had the reins before and we survived.

You obviously miss the obvious and didn't get why I said that. Democracy around the globe is a fragile thing right now if you haven't noticed.
When congress doesn't give equal rights and access to ALL parties and reign in it's abuse of power and corruption the fabric that holds Democracy and lawfullness & stability around the globe becomes tattered and frayed, aka holding on to a thread.

Who is not getting equal rights?

Yes, a joint decision by both the President and Vice-President would be a much better system.

If the nation learned nothing else from the trump Nazis' wannabe führer, it's that one individual can be a petty and vindictive pr!ck that cannot be trusted with such weaponry to be used by his authority alone.

How many parties exist and then how many of those are getting equal media and equal debate platform time? It's so bad that the Dems took in the socialist party just to harvest and steal their votes, even if it hurts our country or is contrary to their constituents desires.

I don't believe the President has the authority, alone, to launch a first strike. He does have the authority to retaliate.

BTW...If we are going to launch a first strike...You don't want the POTUS and the VPOTUS in the same part of the
country, let alone in the same room.

This has nothing to do with Biden. We just went through 4 years with a wannabe tyrant having control of the button. This is a direct response to that and a safeguard to prevent us from having to worry about that again. Perhaps that proposal isn't the best way to do it, but it is a potential danger that nobody ever considered before Trump. I hope it is just the first of several Trump laws that will rein in a bad president. Biden, and all future presidents will unfortunately have a loss of power, even though it has nothing to do with their ability to reasonably wield that power.
