Not true.
People can easily change an ethnicity as well as a religion.
They can switch to a different ethnicity if they want.
They can move to a different country where they immerse into another ethnicity, marry into one, etc.
During WWII, over 100,000 members of the Wehrmacht were Jewish, and neither them nor their families were abused.
But yet over 35 millions Russians were killed, even though they were Aryan.
So I am pretty sure Whoopie was correct in her original statements, that the Holocaust was not about race or ethnicity even.
Just as the Holocaust targeted communists, socialists, Anarchist, liberals, progressives, unions, etc.
Jews were not the main target at all.

I am not so sure about that at this point---------I am not so sure that Hitler hated the Jews as much as his underling socialist leaders in the Nazi Party. He had had Jewish friends.

Think Hitler just wanted power and money and that he didn't care if the other nazis wanted the jews (or gays or whoever else) exterminated from the entire planet. Think other nazi leaders each had their own agenda and each was allowed to use the Nazi party powers to do whatever...Think the Jews were the targets because two of the other Nazi leaders in particular pushed for it out of SIMPLE GREED and that the groundwork to marginalize and thusly justify discriminating and victimizing had already been made because of the hate that the catholic and Lutheran churches had preached since long before Hitler. The Nazi individual leaders coveted the money, gold/diamonds, painting, houses, etc. and arresting the jews (meant in German Nazi culture) that you could then rob them of everything that they had. It was the other nazi leaders who amassed huge collections of formerly owned jewish paintings and other valuables.

Lower ranking individuals may receive a small cut of the booty seized, but the lions share will go to higher ranking socialist leaders. I watched a netflix on the nazis---they dove into aspects that weren't focused on in school or that I had seen in other places. My impression right or wrong was that Hitler really just didn't care one way or the other what group was used or targeted and that it was two of second tier nazis directly under Hitler that pushed for them to be rounded up and put ghettos while their homes were robbed.....and then later what to do with the jews crammed together in ghettos became an issue with murdering them being a second not first thought to clean up the mess and as a way to get the rest of the valuables that the jews had hidden on themselves.

Jews being used and then targeted was no different than say the gays that were used to rise to power and later also being targeted for annihilation as well.
