We used to pass up big watermelons even if they are super cheap because they are a pain to store once cut open. I found a simple solution is to take one half of the melon and scoop out into balls a little bigger than a golf ball. Eat them The other melon half, I juice the scoops in a nutra-bullet blender. It makes a lot of juice that is great in the morning and very healthy.

This thread is not remotely what I thought it was about.

I used to love apple cider, then the government ruined it by mandating it be pasteurized. Pasteurization ruins the flavor. Have never had cider since.

I love watermelon juice. I used to love watermelons. Then they invented the seedless joke watermelon, seedless yes, but just a little ball. Like a single serving watermelon. And they want a high price for them!

Big, real watermelons are the only way to go. Arizona makes a watermelon drink that is real good, I have no issue with buying a big hulking watermelon, storing it ice cold, then cutting it up, spitting out the seeds and going to town on it.

Scooping it might be OK, but you need to eat it within a day, once you scoop it, it begins to deteriorate.

I juiced 15 watermelons one year. Made 10 gallons of Watermelon wine. Real tasty it was too.

The "melon balls" are still good refrigerated 2 days later. Three not so much.

Damn misleading thread title......for some reason I expected juicing to be a new word for motorboating.
Imagine my disappointment.
