Some of my Texas friends have said definitely to mess with Texas women, just not marry them because they are not worth the time or investment. I am not married to a Texas woman, so I have no first hand knowledge. Some of them are superficially appealing, I suppose, but the ones I have worked with have not really brought anything worthwhile to the company except whining and stress.
