Even after all this time, I'm still trying to understand this period fully. In a nutshell (no pun intended), here's what I think has happened:

Roughly 20% of the American population (not just the electorate) had been whipped into a frenzy of rage, frustration and paranoia -- first by talk radio, then by the internet, which has increased those emotions exponentially. This whole thing had been sitting at an absolute fever pitch for several (let's say ten to fifteen) years, boiling under the surface, out of view of the rest of us (including most GOP politicians).

Then along comes the perfect instrument to let this rage and paranoia out: A profoundly damaged man with a loud national megaphone who saw this, and was willing to express and promote all of that rage and paranoia for them. In return, and in appreciation, they provide him with the personal adoration that he so desperately needs. An absolutely perfect and destructive, symbiotic ongoing match.

That's where I am at the moment. Thoughts?

Well given that ANY form of protest is unacceptable in a communist country, why don't YOU tell us, what is an "acceptable" form of protest for you?

Taking a knee was NEVER an insult to the troops. That's something Trump made up and like the good Trumpist you are, you parrot it as gospel truth. It actually shows respect for the flag, and does nothing to dishonour it.

Republicans continue to refuse to have a discussion about racial injustice in the USA. Blacks and other minorities keep asking for this discussion. Politely - taking a knee. Singing hymns in the Capitol building. And every time they do, Republicans say that whatever they do peacefully is "wrong" for one reason or another.

Peaceful marchers were viciously attacked last summer. Marchers were met with tear gas, rubber bullets, and batons. Republicans wanted protestors shot. Much of the responsibility for the violence at the protests last summer fell squarely on the shoulders of the police response to the protests, and on right wing thugs attacking the protestors.

So what is an accept way for Americans on the left to exercise their First Amendment right to take their grievances to the government, Prince? Because the right winger method of attacking state houses while holding their AR15's in their arms made right wingers go batshit crazy when a BLM protest group showed up with their AR15's at a Texas protest recently, which blocked the roads.

Well there's another Republican lie shot to hell. Where would Amazon be without the Post Office, without roads, bridges, or airports to transport their goods, without a well educated work force, and a transportation system for them to come and go from work, efficiently, all to support their distribution centres.

But Amazon paid no federal income taxes last year, while Jeff Bezos became the world's first trillionaire, and is spending hundreds of billions flying into space.

The entire concept of private property rights is supported by a huge government infrastructure of patents and trademark registrations, registration of corporations, real property registration and records, along with ownership of vehicles, and other high end consumer goods, complete with court enforcement of those rights.

How is the government supposed to maintain all of those private property ownership rights, while providing the infrastructure, communications and transportation systems that private business requires if the wealthy aren't paying their fair share?
