Actually, there is some truth to this, in that Chinese labor has gotten too expensive, and factories are moving to Vietnam, Malaysia and other places where it's cheaper.

Japan had a similar cycle. They were initially the source of cheap labor, then improved quality to where they took over certain industries, and then became self-sustaining.
