Donald Trump to kick transgender troops out of US military

Here is the thing, he really can't do that. And if he did, it would cost a fortune.

Now he can indeed rescind the Executive Order that allowed them to serve. However, it also must be recognized that every one of them entered the military under the rules in place at the time under legal valid contracts. And as such, breaking those contracts carries with it some rather strong penalties. As in, each individual will likely be paid tens of thousands of dollars for the early termination of their contract.

Specifically, every single individual "kicked out" will be entitled to severance pay. And that can be quite a significant amount of money. And the battle to do so could actually stretch on for years, possibly long past his actual term in office.

To be realistic, the easiest way to resolve that would not be "kicking them out", but simply rescinding Executive Order 13699 and allowing any in uniform a choice. Either take an early end of their contract voluntarily with a lesser severance check, or at the end of their service not allowing them to remain in the service (which also mandates a severance check). But that also has another issue, as if they have 18 years or more in they have to remain in until they can complete 20 years.

Simply "kicking somebody out" of the military is not as easy as it sounds, unless there is individual misconfuct involved.

And every time that people have been released from their contract early, it always comes with a cash payment to do so. Be it the troop cuts of the early 1990s, the troop cuts of the 2010s, or any other time. Or even if people are found medically unfit for service. Unless the early end of the contract involved personal miscunduct, the military has to pay them for getting out early.

Nonsense, of course. Any so-called "transgender" is unfit for duty; at LEAST as much as those who refused the Covid shots. See any of THEM offered a "severance package?"

Refusing to follow military orders by getting mandated vaccinations is refusal to follow orders, therefore "personal misconduct".

No, that is a mental illness.

If I believe I am a cat, that does not make me a cat. And no amount of surgery done will make me a cat.
And if your commander believes that you are a frog, shouldn't you jump?

Believing one is a female when one is, in fact, a male is certainly "personal conduct" if one acts on that belief. Yes, it's a mental illness, but we don't allow mental cases to serve in the military today...thank God.

It is still mental illness. Hence the clinical name "Gender Dysphoria". But please, explain exactly what conduct one would do that would be in violation of the UCMJ?
