There are those who think Trump is God and there are those who think he's just another huckster.

I've known, and worked with, a guy for about 30 years who is so similar to Trump it blows my mind. Interestingly, he too is from the East Coast.

"Lou" rarely displays much in the way of intellectual acuity. Facts are almost trivial to him. You're not going to have any stimulating conversations with him. But he gets his way through the sheer force of his personality. He simply mauls people into doing things his way.

Bring up Lou downtown, and you'll get a roll of the eyes and a shake of the head. Damn near anyone who has worked with him, in business or on a non-profit - has probably said something like "okay, fine, Lou, do it your way, **** it." That's precisely the vibe I get from Trump. He just keeps pounding on you with a flood of utter bullshit until you tire and give in. And he "wins".

To me, that's nothing like genius. There's nothing intellectual about it. It's just their personality. In fact, they may be compensating because they know they're not as intelligent as others in their circle. It's who they are.

Did not come from a wealthy family & had money showered upon him. Graduated from a top 10 college - Columbia & then graduated from Harvard Law - top in the country. Was editor of Law Review. That is way way way more the Trump.
