Well the IRA bombed a lot of Northern Ireland and Shot soliders in the north and UK didn't care... Then the did some awful bombings in pubs and city centres killing civilians including children and that created more blow back.

But by accident, they blew up the Berring Exchange in London (were targeting the Liverpool St station next door). It closed the exchange for a 3 days. Quite quickly both sides discovered that single bomb cost more that the previous 30 years of violence put together.

So if US did that... Canadian supporters (underground) would target infrastructure and costly security...
Think about it... Park a truck downtown NYC and call in a bomb warning.. Clear every building for a number of blocks... Do it on a Sunday and let it off or Monday and it could be empty... Who knows... Suddenly NYC needs to place in a federally paid security ring around NYC... Imagine the cost or don't and ask London how much it was...

Next blow up Electricity lines.. Again security needed... NFL on Sunday, fly in a drone and say full of C4 and ball bearings... LAnd it on the field and say clear the field as you are denoting it 30min if no one goes near it...

This is not about winning but making the cost of victory so high it is not worth it.. The security bill could be costing US a trillion a year, severe curbing in individual freedom as searching has to be done everywhere.. Any bag left down would mean a clearing of a building..
US is particularly not set up for this type of conflict and that is before a massive misinformation campaign and cyberattacks start.. Just spread rumours that there is a bomb in Las Vegas this weekend and it would heavily effect numbers.

This is incorrect as Canada purposely decreased the surplus in 2016 just before Trump took office to essentially counter his claim of Canadian surplus. In the months prior in 2016, Canada had a larger surplus, This was by design obviously.

Secondly, the surplus now isn't due to the new agreement, it is due to price of oil flying through the roof. This helped Canada obviously. Basically, your logic supports Trumps tariff demands as he will say "look at the massive imbalance, it's worse than ever thanks to Biden. We have to apply a tariff".

Canada needed to leverage Canadians like myself but itself they destroy them at a young age. Amazing really. I happen to be a European - therefore I am absolutely aware that ALL European countries (sole exception being Switzerland) are FAKE democracies - and it's politicians are more corrupt then the general European citizen.

Trump renegotiated NAFTA and Canada went from an $11 billion trade deficit to a $100 billion trade deficit with Canada.

Trump is also the guy who pushed for higher oil prices so Americans would “drill baby drill” so if that pushed up the trade deficit, Trump was pretty stupid.

And please remember that Trump demanded a renegotiation of this agreement precisely because Canada and Mexico were “taking advantage” of the USA. Trump was going to end that.

Now Trump is promoting the lies that the USA is “subsidizing” Canada. Let’s be perfectly clear here: a trade deficit means that American companies have purchased goods or materials from Canada. It’s called the “free market”.

When you go to the grocery store and buy your groceries and give the store owner your money, you don’t falsely claim that you are “subsidizing” the grocery store owner. When you purchase goods or materials from Canadian companies, it’s a commercial transaction, not a subsidy.

There’s also a clause in Trump’s NAFTA 2.0 agreement, which prohibits member countries from issuing tarrifs against other members countries in the agreement, for any reason other than trade disputes.

So if Trump slaps tariffs on Canada or Mexico, he’s in violation of the Agreement he signed! Once again, proving that Donald Trump cannot be trusted in any deal or negotiation.

As for Panama, they’re suing the Trump corporation for tax evasion. That’s why he’s going after the canal. They took his hotel away from him too, and v locked him out.
