I always find it amazing that when we throw the sanctions book at countries like this, we always come up with more and more sanctions. Why didn't we just do them all in the beginning so there are none left?

Russia had lost thousands, but liberated and saved millions. So, right now its going pretty good.

In fact, it doesn't matter what he'd said. Words are cheap. Actions is what matters. And he, basically, have only two ways of action:
1) escalate;
2) de-escalate.
There are very few opportunities for escalation (and none of them leads to victory) and even lesser opportunities for de-escalation (there are too many foreign influencers in his team).
