Separation of Church and state is one of the most abysmally misunderstood concepts known to man.

Jefferson wrote a letter to a Baptist "church" once and if I recall, he basically said that the govt should not interfere with "churches" (or Churches). He never intended and neither did any other founder of our country that religious people should be barred from govt involvement in any way.

And knowing the bible is part of being a well-educated person
